Hello and Welcome to my motorcycle website!
My skills have improved, and my tastes have changed - that can only mean one thing - time for a new bike ;-)
This is my 5th bike in 7 years of riding - it's not that I get bored easily; it's just that there are so many more options these days. My SV650 has been very good to me, however, I have been missing the power I had on my BMW R1100R.
Inspired by my husband and his recent purchase of a Ulysses XB12X, at last years International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach, CA, I took the opportunity to demo Buells. Because of my height (5'4"), I initially focused on the Buell XB12Scg. However, at a more recent demo ride, I was encouraged to ride the XB9. The XB9 turned out to be the "just right" bike for me.
The XB9 has the power I was looking for as well as offering a smooth ride. Unlike the BMW R1100R, it is a very manageable bike for me to push and pull around on my own - something that is very important to me. My somewhat shorter stature prompted me to buy the lower seat - something I may not need but will have in case I do. The stock seat is very comfortable, so my goal is to make that work!
